A selection of our collections is now on display at the Berto Lugano showroom , in a dialogue between Swiss marble, interior design and living culture.

There are meetings that arise naturally.

Not because they were long planned, but because they share a common vision.

This is the feeling I felt when I entered the Berto showroom in Lugano.

A space that tells much more than a collection of furniture. It tells a story of passion, research, craftsmanship, and a constant desire to evolve. A story that spans generations and is evident in every detail: in the quality of the materials, the attention to detail, the care for people, and the ability to create spaces designed to last.

Upon entering the showroom, you immediately sense a strong sense of coherence. Each space has its own identity, yet they all share the same language: elegance, comfort, quality, and attention to detail. Perhaps this is precisely why the meeting between Berto and Cristallina Design occurred so naturally.

On one hand, a company that for decades has interpreted the world of living through Italian design and craftsmanship. On the other, a project born in Ticino around the unique Swiss marble, with the aim of transforming a millennia-old material into contemporary collections capable of uniting art, design, and function.

Beyond the object

When I founded Cristallina Design I didn't just want to create objects. I wanted to give shape to a story. A tale of material, territory, culture, and sensibility. A project capable of bringing together diverse skills, designers from diverse countries, and an extraordinary stone that tells a story that began millions of years ago. Cristallina Design was born in Ticino, from a material that belongs to this region and has been part of our family's history for over a century.

"I believe that objects can communicate.

Not only towards the outside world, but also towards those who experience them every day.

For this reason, our collections aren't meant to be simply observed. They're meant to be experienced. To enter people's homes, spaces and daily experiences."

Between art, matter and memory

The Cristallina Design collections are born from the encounter between art, material and memory. Each creation is crafted from the unique Swiss Cristallina SA marble, quarried in the Ticino Alps. A rare and fascinating material, formed from the primordial sea that once covered this area. The stone's unique crystalline structure gives Cristallina marble a unique luminosity. Light doesn't simply reflect on the surface, but seems to enter the material and communicate with it.

Each block is different.

Each grain is different.

Every creation is different.

It is this uniqueness that makes each piece unrepeatable.

What makes Cristallina marble even more special is not only its beauty, but also its extraordinary durability. This characteristic has allowed it to be used over the years in architectural projects, artistic works, and now even in contemporary design.

When collections meet space

Seeing the Cristallina Design collections inside the Berto showroom was particularly interesting. Not because it's simply a new exhibit. But because the creations have found a context capable of enhancing them.

Inside the spaces designed by Berto, I felt like our collections became points of light. Silent presences that draw the eye, interact with the furnishings, and contribute to the space's identity. They don't interrupt the story. They become part of it. And this is probably the most authentic form of design: when material, function and emotion coexist in harmony.

A look towards the future

My desire is to continue bringing Cristallina marble to places that embrace its history, beauty, and meaning: spaces designed by architects and interior designers.

In the homes of those who seek authenticity, quality, and value over time.

In places where art and design still manage to dialogue with people.

Because I believe that the most beautiful objects are not those that simply need to be observed. They are the ones who come into our lives. And which, over time, become part of our history.
