Two new projects have been selected for Matter & Shape, two distinct works that present themselves as the expression of a cultural research in which design becomes geological memory, identity and transformation of matter.

 

Taglio , by Sebastian Renga, was born from the observation of the quarry and the act of extraction.

From a single block of Cristallina marble, the cut simultaneously generates a seat and its complementary elements through the solids and voids of the material.

 

Crystal , by Emilie Heger, is inspired by the crystals hidden in the Swiss Alps, revealing the internal structure of the stone through a balance between geometric rigor and natural variations.
