Two places, one project
During Milan Design Week 2026 , Cristallina Design will be present in two complementary locations from 20 to 26 April 2026.
At the University of Milan - Statale , within the exhibition INTERNI MATERIAE, the installation Corals – Origin of Matter will be presented in Via Festa del Perdono 7.
At Via Tortona 14 , inside the Collettiva Svizzera (Swiss Design), visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Cristallina Design team and discover the collections made in Cristallina marble.
Corals – Origin of Matter
INTERNI
curated by Natascia Finocchiaro Maurino (CEO and Founder of Cristallina Design), it arises from a reflection on matter as origin and memory, in dialogue with the MATERIAE theme of INTERNI.
The project is inspired by the Corals collection by designer Min Jun Choi, developed for Cristallina Design at ECAL, and by the marine genesis of Cristallina marble, today extracted in the Swiss Alps but originating from the sedimentation of ancient corals.
The curatorial approach transforms coral into a symbolic form of geological memory, giving life to a monumental sculptural element in hand-crafted Cristallina marble.
Around this fulcrum, seats in Cristallina marble and local granite are developed, materials from the same territory but with different geological histories, brought into dialogue through color, stratification, and time.
The space invites the visitor to enter into a relationship with the material, making visible the profound time of its origin and transforming stone into a contemporary experience.

During Milan Design Week 2026, Cristallina Design will also be present at Via Tortona 14, within the Swiss Design collective, with an exhibition space entirely dedicated to its collections.
The space is conceived as an immersive and habitable environment, where Cristallina marble expresses itself as a visual, tactile, and narrative experience. Collections developed with international designers from ECAL will be presented, along with new, unreleased pieces visible exclusively during Design Week.
The objects, crafted from the only marble quarried in Switzerland, straddle the line between function and sculpture, born from a direct dialogue between designer and material, starting with experience in the quarry.
The space showcases not only the products, but also the creative process, offering a vision of design as a cultural and sensorial experience. Throughout the week, the team will be on hand to welcome visitors and organize dedicated meetings.
